David Woodhouse

Llanerch Arboriculture 

David Woodhouse is the owner and  principal surveyor and has a wealth of experience and knowledge. Being involved with trees from an early age, tree growing was an initial focus.

Formal education began with studying Engineering and David was awarded a BEng (Hons) in Computer Aided Engineering & Design in 1996.

Following a career shift, time was spent obtaining formal Arboricultural training in the early 2000s, followed by a short time as a tree surgeon, appreciating the challenges faced by front line tree management.

Following that, 18 years’ of experience gained at four local authorities and a Trunk road Agency working in both the Planning function and direct management areas provided a well rounded knowledge base.  This involved the direct management and risk assessment of trees, initiating formal prosecutions, developing tree management and risk management policies as well as representing the local authority at planning inquiries.

In 2013 David was awarded the Level 6 Diploma in Arboriculture by Tree Life Training to achieve a long term aim.
